Top tips for bed buyers



Here are a few handy tips to help you buy the perfect bed. Keep these to hand and you can't go far wrong!


  • When buying a new bed, spend as much as you can afford. It's a worthwhile investment - after all you're going to spend a third of your life there!

  • Give yourself and your partner plenty of space. Get as big a bed as you can.

  • Make sure you get a bed with the right level of support for you. Do you need slats or sprung slats? Soft or firm mattresses?

  • Check the bed's fillings if you suffer from allergies. A hypoallergenic mattress might be a good idea.

  • Make sure you choose a base that you can get into your bedroom!

  • Have you thought about storage under the bed?

  • If you are tempted into using a second hand bed, take a careful look at the previous owner. They've deposited kilos of old skin flakes into that mattress you're about to buy. Not to mention half a litre of sweat every night. Still think it's worth saving the money?
