For almost half a century Stompa has been manufacturing safe furniture for active children, and for a hundred years furniture has been manufactured in their main factory, in Angvik in the Norwegian municipality of Gjemnes, where the grandfather of one of our owners started furniture production as early as 1906. Today, Stompa make furniture in their factories in Angvik and Oppdal, while their upholstery is produced in Norway and the UK.
The Stompa trademark was established at the beginning of the 1960s. Their business concept was then - and still is - to manufacture good, well-functioning furniture at a competitive price. From the start, Stompa built up a reputation for its bunk beds. Since 1980 Stompa have been represented in the British market, where their space-saving, sturdy and colourful designs have been a huge hit.
