There is no MDF or plywood here, just carefully selected and seasoned solid ash the most versatile and attractively grained English wood. This piece features a stickback with a decorative middle slat and double bows made from steam-bent ash, whilst the one-piece seat is shaped from a 2 thick slab of the same wood. The seat locks the various components together in a time honoured construction method. Although deeply traditional, modern techniques have been used where appropriate: the carefully shaped seat is far more comfortable than on an old-fashioned Windsor and the design gives maximum back support combined with a relaxed posture.
The Heritage Ash Georgian Double Bow Chair has been hand made in England by English craftsmen and tastefully antiquated and distressed to give a wonderful aged patina.
