Hi Jonny, it can be used as a free-hanging sliding door with a top-mounted sliding system. It is 35 mm thick, which is compatible with standard sliding door hardware kits designed for solid internal doors. You will just need to ensure the track is securely fixed to a solid header and that there is enough clearance above the door for smooth operation. Thank you.
