Question from Mum to be: Asked on 17/03/2026 Does the cot confirm with British safety standard BS EN 716, with the mattress fitting snugly, with no space for the baby's head to get stuck. The bars of the cot must be smooth, securely fixed, and the distance between each bar should not be more than 6.5cm (2.5 inches), so baby's head cannot get trapped.

Hi, The Luna Cot Bed (LUA001) complies with BS 8509:2008+A1:2011 when used as a cot and meets BS EN 716-1:2017 safety standards when assembled, confirming it has been tested to the required UK/EU safety requirements including structural stability and bar spacing to prevent entrapment. It is designed for a standard 1400mm x 700mm mattress (maximum thickness 150mm), which must fit snugly with no gaps, and the cot base has adjustable height positions to maintain the required internal safety heights. All fittings must be securely tightened and regularly checked, and the cot should only be used in accordance with the assembly instructions to ensure full compliance with the safety standards.

Hi,The Luna Wooden Convertible 3-in-1 Cot Bed (LUA001) is not designed to function as a floor bed. Its legs are not intended to be removed, and the bed’s official configurations only allow it to convert from a cot to a toddler bed and then to a sofa. While the toddler bed mode sits lower than the cot, attempting to remove or modify the legs could compromise safety and void the manufacturer’s warranty.Thanks!
