Hi,Yes, you can operate the AmberGlo AGL075 Media Wall's LED flame effect independently of the heater. This allows you to enjoy the realistic flames and a cozy ambiance year-round. The fireplace offers 9 flame colour combinations and 14 fuel bed colour options, which can be adjusted using the included remote control or the manual controls on the unit.Thanks!
