Hi Wayne,Yes, the AmberGlo AGL071, although marketed as a freestanding multi-fuel log burner, can be safely installed inside an existing fireplace recess, provided all safety, clearance (especially from combustibles), hearth, flue connection, and local building regulations are strictly met.Thanks!

Hi Alex,The Amberglo AGL071 6.9 kW Multi-Fuel Stove must be installed on a non-combustible hearth, requiring a thickness of either 12 mm (if certified) or a standard 125 mm, and the hearth should measure a minimum of 1000 mm×1000 mm to comply with UK safety regulations.Thanks!
