Hi, The Amberglo AGL063 Black Electric Log Burner is a freestanding unit, not designed to be built into a wall. The back of the stove is finished in the standard stove style, but it is not completely flat for a flush fit. It can be placed close to a wall on a suitable non-combustible surface, but it is not intended to sit recessed or inset into a wall cavity.
