Hi Rachel, it does not come with a built-in lock. It features a gas-lift mechanism that holds the lid open for easy access, a waterproof lining with a zip seal to keep contents dry, and castor wheels with brakes for easy movement. However, if you require additional security, you can install a padlock or hasp and staple it on the lid to make it lockable. This would allow you to secure the box and prevent unauthorized access.
