Finding the Right Door for Every Room

Shopping for doors online shouldn't be a faff. Whether you're planning a full-on refurb or just swapping out one tired old door, we've made it easy to browse by function, finish and fit. Our collection has a little something for every style, space and budget, so you're sure to find a cracker.

Doors Built for Proper Homes

Your choice of door isn't just about looks. It affects your comfort, your peace and even your leccy bills. For bedroom doors, solid core styles are brilliant at blocking out noise and keeping the warmth in. Need a bit of privacy and steam resistance? A bathroom door should be easy to clean and sturdy enough for a proper family home.

Meanwhile, keep the lounge cosy or stop those pesky hallway draughts with something that has a good seal. And for those upstairs spaces, lighter doors are a godsend, especially in older homes with those tight stairwells!

Internal Doors That Work Hard and Look Top-Notch

We stock a huge range of interior doors that are easy to fit and available in all the usual sizes. So whether you're after something traditionally panelled or a bit more sleek and modern, we've got you sorted.

Many of our options are pre-finished, which means they're ready to hang straight out of the box. No extra painting or varnishing required. Others come unfinished, giving you the freedom to stain or paint them exactly as you fancy.

Choose the Best Door for Your Space

Let's get down to brass tacks. Here's how to know which door suits your space:

  • Solid doors are ace for privacy, warmth and soundproofing.
  • Glazed doors bring in more light, perfect for hallways or kitchens.
  • Fire doors are rated FD30 or FD60 to meet safety regs in lofts, flats and stairwells.
  • Bifold doors are spot-on for tight spaces like airing cupboards or en-suites.
  • French doors work brilliantly between living areas or for home offices.

The Charm of Wooden Doors

Wooden doors are a popular choice for their natural good looks, and also their strength and insulation. There's a reason oak doors are a firm favourite. They're strong, naturally beautiful and age like a fine wine, regardless of whether you're after a proper farmhouse feel or something a bit more minimalist. You'll find classic options like 4-panel and tongue-and-groove styles in both solid oak and oak veneer.

Not a fan of staining? Go for a pre-finished oak door with a warm, clean look straight out of the box.

Doors That Keep You Safe & Sound

For a bit of extra peace of mind, have a browse of our fire doors. These come with FD ratings (like FD30) to help slow the spread of fire. They’re a must-have for new builds, conversions or multi-level homes. Look for doors with solid or semi-solid cores to block both fire and noise. If you're not sure what rating you need, our team is more than happy to help you out.

Easy Fitting and Quick Delivery

Our doors come in all the usual UK sizes, but many can be trimmed to fit. You'll also find clear info on whether hinges, handles and locks are included, and we'll even suggest matching accessories if not.

We deliver right across the UK with tracked shipping and a few different delivery day options. Need a hand with measuring or fitting? Give our support team a bell and we’ll help you sort things out.

Frequently asked questions about doors

  • Why are doors so expensive?
  • How much should a good door cost?
  • What types of doors are easiest to install?

The easiest doors to fit are definitely pre-finished internal doors in standard sizes. These don't need any painting or sanding and often come ready to hang. Hollow-core doors are lighter and a doddle to carry upstairs or install on your own. If you've got a bit of basic DIY knowledge and the right tools, fitting a standard door in a standard frame is completely doable. Just make sure you measure carefully first!

  • How often should you replace a door?

You generally only need to replace a door every 15 to 30 years, depending on how it's used. A bedroom door that gets a good old slamming every day might wear out a bit quicker than one in a spare room. A door that isn’t closing properly anymore or has visible damage might mean it’s time for a new one.

  • Is a hollow or solid door better?

It all depends on what you're after. Solid doors (or solid-core) are a bit heavier, stronger and much better at blocking sound and heat. They're the perfect choice for bedrooms, bathrooms and busy family areas. Hollow doors are cheaper and easier to install, but they don't offer much soundproofing or insulation. They're perfectly fine for light-use rooms like cupboards.
