Hi Reema,The power cable for the Joni electric recliner is located underneath the chair, where it connects to the motor and then plugs into a standard UK wall socket, and while the cable can be neatly tucked away or routed behind furniture for a tidier look, this model is mains-powered rather than battery-operated, so it does need to stay plugged in to work.Thanks!
