More than just a sofa
There are various types of sofas to choose from depending on your needs, whether it’s something practical or just a spot to relax for occasional or regular use.
Found the perfect sofa? Let’s make sure it fits! Getting your new sofa into your chosen room can be tricky, but we’ve put together a handy guide to make the process as smooth as possible and get you from front door to feet up in no time.
We want you to love your new sofa for years to come, and there are a few different ways we can help. With our care kit and extended warranty, we've got you covered.
We recommend vacuuming regularly with a soft brush attachment to remove dust, loose dirt and pet hair. A lint roller can also remove small debris without damaging the fibres.
For spillages, it’s best to use a clean, dry cloth to soak up as much of the spill as possible. Don’t rub or press down too hard, as this can push the liquid deeper into the fabric. We advise using our upholstery care kit to remove any remaining stains.
For more preventative care, we recommend rotating your cushions regularly to avoid uneven wear and to maintain the sofa’s shape.
Try to keep your sofa away from direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure can lead to fading.
Bouclé Sofas
Caring for a bouclé sofa is similar to caring for a velvet sofa.
Always use a soft brush attachment when vacuuming, and be mindful of zippers, keys, pet claws, and other sharp objects that can damage the loops if they snag the fabric.
For spillages and stains, please follow the same advice as velvet sofas.
Woven / Fabric Sofas
Perhaps the most durable and low-maintenance upholstery, we recommend vacuuming regularly with a soft brush attachment to remove dust and small debris.
For spillages and stains, please follow the same advice as velvet sofas.
We recommend rotating your cushions regularly to prevent uneven wear and to maintain the sofa's shape.
General care FAQs
I have children and a dog; how do I keep my sofa clean?
Maintaining a sofa with a busy household can be difficult. To remove any dirt from your sofa's fabric, grab a microfibre cloth and add a drop of laundry detergent and wipe over your cushions. To maintain dog hairs, vacuum along the seams and under the cushions.
I've got a stain on my sofa; how do I get it out?
In the unfortunate event of a stain, we recommend you dab the spillage with kitchen roll or a white bleach free dry absorbent cloth to prevent further spreading. Following this, contact a professional drycleaning service for stain removal. Our care kit also has an oil and grease stain remover inside.
How do I keep my cushions plump?
It's good to pat the cushions often to ensure they're always plump and looking their best.
Have you got a Payton sofa?

We don't offer a bespoke design service, but thanks to our huge choice of colours, styles, and sizes, we're confident that we have the perfect sofa for you.
We also offer the option of light oak legs at checkout with our Payton sofas, should you prefer a lighter finish.
What’s the difference between a corner sofa and a chaise corner sofa?
A corner sofa, or an L-shaped or sectional sofa, features multiple seats arranged in an L-shape with backrests supporting all seats. You can also find these in U-shaped designs. This sofa style is typically fixed, meaning you can't move parts of it around to change the shape.
A chaise corner sofa is a standard sofa design with an extended seat or footrest, known as a chaise, attached at one end; the backrests are usually found on just the main length of the sofa. With many of our designs, the chaise can be moved from one end of the sofa to the other to suit your room layout.
Before ordering, can I see a sample of the sofa’s fabric/colour?
Yes, you can. We aim to stock samples for all our sofa fabric types and colours so you can be sure you're getting the perfect finish for your space. On the product page you'll see an option to order your free swatch; click our "request a free swatch" button and fill out the quick order form. Can't see the option to order a swatch? Some of our styles are incredibly popular, and we may run out of swatches occasionally, but more will be on the way, so check back soon.
Can you assemble my furniture for me?
Our sofas typically only require attaching the legs, or if it's a corner sofa, you may need to connect two sections, so we don't offer assembly for our sofas. However, we offer an assembly service on certain items, such as beds, and you can add this to your order at checkout.
Do you offer finance?
We offer several different finance options, including PayPal and Clearpay, but the terms of these will depend on the total price of your order. You can find more information on our finance options on our eligible product pages.
